Regenerative Medicine

What is Regenerative Medicine?

Regenerative Medicine is the process of regrowth and regeneration in the body to help it heal itself.  This is a natural process already existing in your body. Since the moment you were born, your body contained billions of stem cells which would contribute to your natural growth and healing of any injuries. As your body ages, the number of stem cells and regenerative factors in your body decrease exponentially. Regenerative medicine involves naturally occurring supplemental growth factors to fortify this process to help heal injured and damaged tissues and joints. Such growth factors include hyaluronic acid, cytokines, exosomes and regenerative cells.

Which areas can be treated with regenerative medicine?

Regenerative Medicine is the process of replacing or regenerating human cells, tissues or organs to restore or establish normal function. These cellular components are attracted to the site of injury and signal healthy cells to regenerate new, healthier cells.  This product can be used to improve your:

Platelet-Rich Plasma

Our providers use platelet-rich plasma as a method of supporting the healing process of degenerated joints and damaged tissue. PRP is also used for aesthetic purposes to enhance microneedling and its outcomes. Platelets are a rich source of growth factors that regulate the natural healing cascade by signaling the body to repair and regenerate damaged tissue.
